To game or not to game?

I was a gamer before being a gamer was a thing. Atari. Intellivision. NES. Playstation 2. Stick-figure DOS games. 9-floppy-disk version of King’s Quest. Ultimas 1 through 7.
My career as a gamer ended in 2010 when we got a Wii. Yes, I said 2010. Four years after it came out. So I guess it ended in 2006, or even before that since no serious gamer, even back then, considered the Wii to be a serious gaming platform. (My wife and I did beat every world but one in the new Super Mario!)
What happened? Going to college. Getting married. Having a kid. Now I’m the “download a freemium game on my iPhone and forget about it in a week” kind of person.
My daughter just started taking an intro class to coding where they use Minecraft. And I know enough about gaming to help her get started, of course. But it got me thinking. I love gaming. I wish I still played. Should I start gaming again? After 10-15 years of not gaming? Should I do board games (just played Catan again for the 3rd or 4th time)? Console games (Playstation 2000, or whatever the new one is called)?
Gotta go, my Nokia 6100 is ringing!
