Best of 2021: Time is (not) Flying

<><><><> BEST OF AUGUST 2021 <><><><>
I can’t believe it’s August 30th already. It has been a harrowing month in terms of news here in the US and abroad, and nerve-wracking month personally (including our daughter going to in-person school in one of the worst covid hotspots in the world).
Talking with a friend from TYT Army, I figured out that for me at least, recently it feels like each day takes forever to be over, but each month flies by. I wonder how many people feel the same way.
I’ll try to cobble together a saying in Latin based on the very little I remember from school and a little help from Google. Anyone who actually knows Latin can feel free to correct me or laugh at me behind my back. Instead of Tempus fugit, it feels more like:
“Tempus lente vadit sed mensis rapide fugit.”
”Time goes slowly but the month flies by quickly.”
Anyway, since August is almost over, that means the monthly poll to help decide what progressive-friendly organization or cause will get a $50 donation is almost over!
