Organized miscellanea

Little known fact: Applies to art *and* blogs

So far, my website has been pretty free-flowing. Posting every couple days or so, about whatever topic. Usually politics, but sometimes other random stuff.

But if you, as someone visiting the site, don’t know how often there will be new content or what type of content it will be, it’s hard to know when, or why, to come back. Eclectic doesn’t have to mean erratic.

All that changes today. Here’s the plan:

  • There will still be a monthly poll where readers vote on which progressive organization or cause will get a $50 donation from eclecticmisc.org (if you haven’t voted for this month, what are you waiting for?!)

  • There will be a post once every weekday. Typically, this will be:

    • Monday: Week in (p)review — A look back at last week and a look ahead at what’s coming up (politics and/or social media)

    • Tuesday: Deep(ish) thoughts — Half-funny, half-serious look at one of life’s not-so-great questions, for example yesterday’s “no pun intended” post and Twitter poll).

    • Wednesday: Anything new(s)? — How do recent events show how much, or little, things have changed with establishment media and politicians

    • Thursday: So we meet (again) — A chance for you (and me) to find out about an organization or show that I’ve either never seen before, or that I think you should know more about.

    • Friday: (Not) so random – What’s happening with me, what’s trending on Twitter, other “miscellaneous” stuff that doesn’t really fit into the other days.

  • About once a week, I will update one section of the site (or more). For example, the Social page needs refreshing, I’d like to add some clips to the TYT and TDR pages, etc.

I’m really enjoying doing the site and branching out a little on Twitter (not just live-tweeting and commenting on news articles). Hopefully these changes will be interesting to those who’ve been visiting the site so far (thank you!) and to those who follow me or see my tweets and decide to check the site out. Thank you for reading this and hope to see you tomorrow!

🚨 Before you leave — Vote for who you’d like to get the $50 March donation from eclecticmisc.org, and leave your comments below about your choice, the site, whether you think coffee or tea is better, or anything else random.

Plus, I’ll be posting daily and will have (more) exciting news for the site later this week!! 🥳
