Weak-ass Democrats
I’m a little late with getting this week’s Wednesday post published, but the Democrats are such corrupt losers that I still had to post about it.
It took me two seconds to think of two massive failures due to Biden and other elected Democrats doing fuck all to try to serve the people who sent them there to represent our interests because they’re weak-ass corrupt corporate servants.
The climate portions of Build Back Better are dead largely thanks to Biden either failing at negotiating, or failing TO negotiate. It won’t even get to 50 votes in the Senate, so it’s been declared dead.
HINO (human in name only) Joe Manchin said after months and months that he won’t vote for any of the climate provisions. He’s apparently just a walking, talking depository for fossil fuel industry money and not an actual representative for human interests.
Biden claims he didn’t negotiate with Manchin. Is he just more senile than he was a year ago, is he lying, or did he actually not negotiate with him? Who knows.
I love Bernie, but he and progressive Democrats — and even some considered more centrist — came out of the woodwork AFTER Manchin declared any climate deal dead to thoroughly denounce him and, in some cases, point out his fossil fuel ties. Where was this full-on press before that?
Why not force the Senate to vote on climate issues to get them on the record? A majority of Americans want climate action, make Senators actually cast a vote to get them on the record. That way, people can either try to vote for someone who does give a rat’s ass about their children’s or grandchildren’s future on this planet, or maybe guilt one or two of them into actually voting for climate legislation.
Biden won’t even sign a damn executive order when the country — and much of the world — is experiencing an unprecedented stretch of record heat day after day. What’s stopping him from doing this besides corruption and cowardice?
The fist-bump heard round the world. Do you want to know how to make the US look like the most corrupt, feckless country on the planet?
Take no substantive action after another country executes a reporter —who was also a permanent resident — from one of your country’s biggest newspapers.
Go to that country and meet with the leader with no preconditions and being dismissive of questions about whether or not you’ll confront that leader about the murder.
Smile and give the murderous leader a fist bump like an old pal instead of the head of a brutal regime.
Tell reporters afterwards that you told him how you felt, without explaining what exactly that was, and apparently not denouncing him, not even pressuring him with sanctions or other steps until they take responsibility or even admit their leader’s role in the execution.
Instead, you sell that country over a billion dollars in weapons.
So tell me again why other countries SHOULDN’T target our residents or commit similar crimes against journalists or foreigners when, if anything, our cowardly president has moved our country even CLOSER to that regime than before?
I could spend an hour or two listing other failures due to the weakness of Democrats, in just the past month or two (abortion not being enshrined in law in the nearly 50 years since Roe v. Wade would be top among them—and not even having a plan even though they found out a month in advance that Roe would be overturned).
Democrats are weak — they’re paid off by donors to be weak, they’re the majority party and can’t or won’t get even less than the bare minimum done, and there’s no end in sight.
Scratch that. There is an end in sight — the midterms, when the GOP will likely take the House and/or Senate due to Dems giving voters almost absolutely no reason to vote for them besides empty promises. Then, they’ll change from being weak-ass leaders to being the weak-ass minority party. As long as they keep getting campaign cash from donors and voters, what would convince them to actually do something?
